We want proven, experienced store leaders with a passion for customer service and a knack for driving sales.<br><br>ASMs are responsible for day-to-day operation and development of their store, including customer service, training and development of all store associates, labor management, inventory control, asset protection, shrink, store conditions, and performance management.<br><br>Giant food has three ASM classifications, including Customer Service Manager (CSM); Manage daily operations of the Front End, Pickup & Customer Service areas and all associate hiring and development<br><br>&bull; Plan, implement, and follow-up on weekly sales programs<br><br>&bull; Manage, control, and track store payroll and budget, collaborating with management to meet sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals; maintain and utilize payroll system to ensure accurate inputs, adjustments, and projections<br><br>&bull; Ensure compliance with Giant programs and policies as well as local, state and federal food, labor and safety regulations<br><br>&bull; Manage associate time & attendance records, absentee/tardiness control programs, and labor law compliance; engage store associates and department managers to meet store and company goals<br><br>&bull; Train and develop Front End and Assistant Front End Managers; cover front-end cash accountability and monitor shrink areas<br><br>&bull; Expose part-time associates, department managers, and other management candidates to other skill areas; identify team leaders and promising internal candidates for further development<br><br>&bull; Conduct store tours to evaluate store conditions vs standards and respond accordingly<br><br>&bull; Supervise store operations as needed in absence of the Store Manager<br><br><b>As a Customer Service Manager, you will:</b><br><br>&bull; Manage daily operations of the Front End & Customer Service areas and hiring and development<br>&bull; Manage associate time & attendance records, absentee/tardiness control programs, and labor law compliance<br>&bull; Engage store associates and department managers in order to meet store and company goals<br>&bull; Train and develop Front End and Assistant Front End Managers; cover front-end cash accountability and monitor shrink areas<br>&bull; Supervise store operations as needed in absence of Store Manager<br>&bull; Review front end schedules prior to posting<br>&bull; Manage store community relations programs<br><br><b>As a Non-Perishable Manager, you will:</b><br><br>&bull; Manage daily operations of Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, HBC/GM, and Receiving departments.<br>&bull; Ensure training & development of all Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, HBC/GM, and Receiving associates; review schedules of all new associates to ensure proper training opportunities<br>&bull; Ensure accuracy of all receiving, monitor back-room organization and sanitation, ensure 100% compliance on store stamps/logs and monitor shrink<br>&bull; Develop working relationships with all direct vendors; understand delivery days and times of all direct vendors<br>&bull; Participate in planning, implementation and follow up of weekly sales programs<br>&bull; Manage inventories, gross profit, profitability, P&L and cost center management<br>&bull; Perform inventory control to avoid overstock and out of stock<br>&bull; Manage product storage and rotation to reduce spoilage and damage<br>&bull; Ensure grocery shelves, cases and fixtures are maintained, cleaned and organized<br><br><b>As a Perishable Manager, you will:</b><br><br>&bull; Manage daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Produce, Floral and Bakery departments.<br>&bull; Ensure training & development of all Meat, Seafood, Deli, Produce, Floral and Baker associates; review schedules of all new associates to ensure proper training opportunities<br>&bull; Participate in planning, implementation and follow up of weekly sales programs<br>&bull; Ensure accuracy of all receiving, monitor back-room organization and sanitation, ensure 100% compliance on store stamps/logs and monitor shrink<br>&bull; Develop working relationships with all direct vendors; understand delivery days and times of all direct vendors<br>&bull; Manage inventories, gross profit, profitability, P&L and cost center management<br>&bull; Perform inventory control to avoid overstock and out of stock<br>&bull; Manage product storage and rotation to reduce spoilage and damage<br>&bull; Ensure grocery shelves, cases and fixtures are maintained, cleaned and organized<br><br><b>WHAT YOU WILL BRING</b><br><br>&bull; A bachelor's degree in business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or others<br>&bull; Prior work as an Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager in a nationally or regionally recognized grocery company and/or big box retail company<br>&bull; Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, inventory, payroll, Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, project management, and personnel management<br>&bull; Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices<br>&bull; Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills', the ability to acquire and keep the confidence of associates, customers, and management alike<br>&bull; Experience managing an effective community relations program<br>&bull;
