We're a proud partner to community organizations with a shared goal of enriching the lives of our neighbors and being the most trusted and loved local food retailer in our community. <br><br><strong>Position Summary: </strong><br><br>The Price and Promotions Analyst is responsible for developing and managing base and promotional pricing strategies across a defined group of product categories to drive profitable sales growth. This role involves conducting in-depth pricing analyses, identifying trends and variances, and delivering actionable insights to optimize revenue and margin performance. Possessing strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance teams. <br><br>What You Will Do: <br><br>Grow Our People <br><br><ul><li>We care deeply about people, enjoy diversity and develop talent to get the best out of all of us <br></li></ul><br><br>Obsess Over Customers <br><br><ul><li>We delight our customers with innovative products and experiences that support a healthier future for people and planet <br></li></ul><br><br>Win Together <br><br><ul><li>We collaborate across boundaries to deliver on our strategy and purpose <br></li></ul><br><br>Operational Excellence <br><br><ul><li>Establish base and promotional pricing for a specific grouping of categories that deliver the brand strategy to the shelf and achieve targets for sales, margin and units. <br></li></ul><ul><li>Conduct (daily) base and promotional pricing analysis to evaluate and optimize product pricing strategies, inclusive of processing cost changes to maintain gross margin. <br></li></ul><ul><li>Provide recommendations based on pricing analysis to enhance revenue and margin performance. <br></li></ul><ul><li>Monitor performance of the base and promotional pricing plan <br></li></ul><ul><li>Collaborates with the Price and Promo Brand Team and external partners on pricing tool and leverage to full use <br></li></ul><ul><li>Detect, research, and correct data errors within the product hierarchy. <br></li></ul><ul><li>Guide category team to ensure accuracy, timely completion and alignment to category strategy for promotional activity. <br></li></ul><br><br>What You Will Bring: <br><br><ul><li>2-3 years of analytical experience with large sets of data <br></li></ul><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business or related field <br></li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in MSL Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word) and Power BI <br></li></ul><ul><li>Balances workload and priorities <br></li></ul><ul><li>Proven success with analytical interpretation of complex data sets <br></li></ul><ul><li>Effective and concise communication and presentation skills <br></li></ul><ul><li>Precise attention to detail <br></li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to syndicated/competitive data (e.g. Nielsen, Circana) preferred <br></li></ul><ul><li>Experience with accounting terminology and understanding of profit and loss (P&L) structure concepts, including the ability to analyze financial statements, and apply these principles in various business scenarios. <br></li></ul><br><br>Skills and Abilities: <br><br>Functional Competencies <br><br><ul><li>Analysis & Insights - Ability to identify, access and analyze data and information to develop actionable insights, which can serve as the basis for decision making, strategy creation & initiatives/solutions.
